Over the years, I have made dozens of cakes for my kids’ birthday parties, but I never thought I’d get into bread baking until a few years ago.

It was Covid and we began experimenting in the kitchen. it began with chocolate brownies one week, then homemade pizza another.

Then, one day, my daughter saw a video on YouTube about sourdough and the next thing, we were buying equipment and experimenting. Soon, my whole family was involved – my son and even my husband.

We made so many loaves of sourdough during Covid, giving many of them away to friends, neighbours, family. it was so much fun.

And then after Covid, we slowed down and then someone accidentally threw away my starter!

So, I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered Culture Club. Now we can all get back into sourdough making again. It’s such a great family bonding experience – I would highly recommend it to everyone.
